The Problem

Premium aesthetic. Clinical credibility. Both, at once.

Mondevi needed an institutional website transmitting sophistication and medical trust simultaneously. The audience: patients trusting the clinic with their sight.

The defining constraint: premium aesthetic had to coexist with high-contrast accessibility. An ophthalmology hospital that ignores contrast would be a brand failure.

Approach

High-contrast as a design principle, not an afterthought.

Editorial typography

Serif display + sans body. Restrained, magazine-like — far from typical clinic aesthetics.

Earth-tone palette

Deep greens and warm tones instead of medical blues. Warmer, premium — and more accessible.

Generous whitespace

Confident negative space. Information in clear hierarchies — never cluttered, always scannable.

Reflection

Premium and accessible aren't opposites.

The constraint of accessibility made the design more refined, not less. When you can't hide behind ornament, every decision has to earn its place.
